LENT 2021

STATIONS OF THE CROSS
will be prayed in the Church every Lenten Friday at 7:00 p.m.

Seven Fridays in all:
Friday, February 19th, to and including Good Friday, April 2nd.
Please join us for this traditional Lenten devotion.

In addition to Stations of the Cross,
prayed in Church every Lenten Friday,
the following will take place, all in keeping with Covid-19 protocols.
  • LENTEN CONFESSION EVENING - Wednesday, March 24th, beginning at 7:00 p.m.
  • HOLY THURSDAY - Thursday, April 1st - Mass of the Lord’s Supper at 8:00 p.m.
  • GOOD FRIDAY - Friday, April 2nd - Good Friday Liturgy at 3:00 p.m.
  • HOLY SATURDAY - Saturday, April 3rd - Easter Vigil at 8:00 p.m.
  • EASTER SUNDAY - Sunday, April 4th - Masses at 9:00 and 11:00 a.m.

FOLLOWING THE LENTEN JOURNEY
WITH YOUR CHILDREN
:

Lent lasts for 40 days from Ash Wednesday to Holy Thursday
(Sundays and the Holy Triduum are not included in the tally).
It represents the 40 days Jesus spent in the desert.
Please find below some ideas for celebrating the Lenten journey with your family at home this year.
  • WALK WITH JESUS - The template found at this link is a great way to visualize the approach of Easter.  As your family moves Jesus one step closer to the cross each day, you will remember to pause, pray or read from Scripture. https://www.jesus-without-language.net/lent-walk/
  • STATIONS OF THE CROSS - Every Friday during Lent we are encouraged to pray the Stations of the Cross.  Families that cannot do this at Church this year might pray and meditate on the Stations at home by making their own Stations of the Cross Grottos out of popsicle sticks.  Visit this link for templates and instructions: http://www.drawn2bcreative.com/making-stations-of-the-cross-grottos-using-popsicle-sticks/
  • RESURRECTION EGGS - Our Catholic schools often have Resurrection eggs on their prayer table during Lent. You can create your own Resurrection eggs at home using the prompts found on this site.  Opening an egg each day during the last 12 days of Lent can help your family to review the Biblical account of Jesus' death and resurrection in a tangible way as you approach the Easter season.  https://beafunmum.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Easter-Advent-Calendar1.pdf

Pre-Authorized Giving

GENTLE REMINDERS
re:  PRE-AUTHORIZED GIVING
At the request of parishioners, the option of Pre-Authorized Giving was made available on December 1st, 2019.  This option has been a great blessing, especially throughout the pandemic, and is available to anyone who wishes to support the parish.  The Authorization Form is available by request; please phone or email the parish office.  It is also available accessing the file below.
2_-_pag_rev1_-_info_w_form.docx
File Size: 100 kb
File Type: docx
Download File

Completed forms can be submitted electronically (scanned and emailed), or mailed, or placed in the collection basket.  Changes in offerings are also made using the Authorization Form.

Offerings may be made on a weekly, biweekly, or monthly basis.  Monthly offerings are processed on the 20th day of the month or very shortly thereafter.  Weekly and biweekly Sunday offerings are normally processed on the following Tuesday.

Several times this year, likely due to pandemic issues, weekly donations were locked on the bank's website and processed late (that is, together with the following week's donation).  We apologize for any confusion caused.

Again, your continued support of the parish has been a tremendous blessing.  Our thanks to those enrolled in Pre-Authorized Giving and to all who have remembered St. Clement Parish.  We deeply appreciate your generosity.  God bless you!
