THE SACRAMENTS
Celebrating the Sacramental Life
People often need signs and symbols to express what cannot be said in words. The Church uses signs and symbols to help convey the mystery of God and to help us grow in faith. St. Augustine described the Sacraments as outward, visible signs of inward, invisible grace.
Catholic Christians believe the Sacraments are much more than rituals. Through the Sacraments, God shares His grace in a special way. He communicates His love to us and leads us to express that love through our daily walk with Him.

RECONCILIATION
(Confession, Penance)
In Reconciliation, we encounter Jesus
ready to absolve and restore us to new life.
His forgiveness of sins and restoration of grace
are made visible through outward signs:
The extension of hands
and the words of absolution spoken by the priest.

To make a good Confession, we prayerfully consider their actions and confess our sins with contrition. The priest imposes a penance and absolves the confessant in the name and by the power of Christ.
Frequent Confession is encouraged for everyone. It is available after the Saturday morning 8:00 a.m. Mass, on Saturdays from 4:00 to 4:45 p.m. and also by appointment.
